Responsibilities
Part of the international finance team
Serve as a key interface between internal teams and external stakeholders
Responsible for all payroll-related tasks across multiple entities, primarily in Austria and Germany
Reconcile the monthly payroll provided by the external payroll provider
Collect and review timesheet data and payroll information
Prepare accruals and ledger entries for accounting and maintain control of payroll files
Update payroll systems, including onboarding and offboarding actions
Calculate salaries, overtime, commissions, bonuses, vacation days, etc.
Provide monthly payroll data to the external payroll provider
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee and stakeholder concerns
Maintain accurate records in the employee database and payroll documentation
Requirements
3–5+ years of proven experience as a payroll specialist
Experience with German and Austrian payroll
Excellent German language skills (C1 or above)
Fluent English (B2 or above)
Strong numerical aptitude
Interest in accounting principles and payroll practices
Good knowledge of, or willingness to learn, relevant legislation and regulations for the jurisdictions
Trustworthy with a strong focus on confidentiality and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
