About the role

  • Part of the international finance team
  • Serve as a key interface between internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for all payroll-related tasks across multiple entities, primarily in Austria and Germany
  • Reconcile the monthly payroll provided by the external payroll provider
  • Collect and review timesheet data and payroll information
  • Prepare accruals and ledger entries for accounting and maintain control of payroll files
  • Update payroll systems, including onboarding and offboarding actions
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, commissions, bonuses, vacation days, etc.
  • Provide monthly payroll data to the external payroll provider
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee and stakeholder concerns
  • Maintain accurate records in the employee database and payroll documentation

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of proven experience as a payroll specialist
  • Experience with German and Austrian payroll
  • Excellent German language skills (C1 or above)
  • Fluent English (B2 or above)
  • Strong numerical aptitude
  • Interest in accounting principles and payroll practices
  • Good knowledge of, or willingness to learn, relevant legislation and regulations for the jurisdictions
  • Trustworthy with a strong focus on confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
