About the role
- OpenShift Consultant providing expertise in IBM OpenShift environments for consulting and implementation with a focus on customer-specific solutions. Collaborative work with various technical teams and business integration capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Consulting on the planning and implementation of OpenShift environments
- Conducting architecture reviews and design workshops
- Assisting with the creation and deployment of customer-specific OpenShift platforms
- Transitioning platforms into live production for the customer and the internal operations team
- Developing best practices for automated deployment and operations
- Supporting the automation of deployments and CI/CD processes
- Close collaboration with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams
- Preparing technical documentation and operational runbooks and concepts
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of IBM OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Podman)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK)
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
- Understanding of cloud architectures and hybrid operating models
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) (preferred)
- Good ITIL knowledge, preferably with ITIL Foundation certification
