About the role
- Build and manage a highly scalable, reliable and cost-effective application infrastructure on Kubernetes
- Deliver a reliable, cost-effective, and enjoyable developer experience for diverse applications across GoTo Group's business lines
- Enhance code quality and product performance through continuous improvement and innovation
- Design abstractions and automations to improve engineering productivity and developer happiness
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across multiple geographies
- Regularly refactor work to maintain high-quality design and architecture following industry best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience in software engineering
- Hands on in object oriented or functional programming languages (Java, Golang, Clojure, Python, Ruby)
- Basic understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and large scale systems
- Knowledge of observability stack, Prometheus fundamentals, PromQL, and OpenTelemetry
- Prior experience with Grafana stack, Cortex, SLI/SLO platforms is a plus
- Working experience with cluster orchestrators and schedulers (Kubernetes)
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Chef, Ansible, Helm
- Experience working on production distributed systems, microservices architecture, RESTful services, and CI/CD
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across multiple geographies
