Network Systems Engineer designing and maintaining communication infrastructure for ICEYE’s satellite operations. Collaborating with global ground station networks and internal teams for optimized network solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain the communication infrastructure that connects ICEYE’s ground segment systems with global ground station networks.
Collaborate closely with ground station partners and internal engineering teams to integrate, validate, and continuously optimize network solutions.
Ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance data flows throughout our mission-critical systems.
Enhance performance, fault tolerance, and resilience, enabling the robust communication backbone that powers ICEYE’s satellite operations worldwide.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field.
Proven experience in network engineering and network systems administration within hybrid on-prem/cloud environments.
Solid understanding of IP networking principles, routing, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and hands-on experience with Bash scripting.
Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
Experience designing and maintaining secure, highly available network infrastructures.
Problem-solving skills and ability to identify, research and resolve new problems, including those involving new technologies.
Keen interest and pragmatic experience in using AI/LLM tools assisting software development and operations.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong team-working and communication skills in English.

Experience with software development or scripting in languages such as Python or Go.
High-performance network programming, socket-level development, and protocol optimization.
Experience or familiarity with Satellite communications, ground station networks, and space systems operations.
Experience with RF propagation and modulations.
Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and GitOps workflows.
