Responsibilities
Conduct analyses and gather, organize and review data to identify internal and external strategic issues and opportunities affecting growth and profitability of the organization
Contribute to the development of functional strategy by recommending best practices and process improvements
Develop specialized skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques
Oversees multiple Business Analyst teams or a large function, responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the credit union's mission and goals
Translate functional and business strategies into short-term data analytics objectives and team priorities
Manage multiple teams and/or specialized units of analysts, ensuring the execution of technical and operational plans
Establish and refine frameworks for data cleaning, validation, and anomaly detection
Lead and advise on resolution of complex data sourcing and quality issues impacting key business initiatives
Collaborate across departments to develop integrated data models and scalable reporting tools
Provide mentorship and professional development for team members and prepare successors for leadership roles
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
College/university degree and 7+ years work experience; 3+ years of management experience
Expertise in managing analytics programs and projects, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and timelines
Ability to guide team members in employing the appropriate analytical techniques to solve complex business problems
Experience in establishing quality control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs
Ability to develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success and impact of analytics initiatives
Strong ability to manage multiple teams, ensuring alignment and cohesion in achieving objectives
Expertise in managing projects from conception to execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
Ability to analyze diverse data and identify trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas and strategies to various audiences
Flexibility to adapt strategies and processes in response to evolving business conditions or challenges
Commitment to fostering team growth through training, feedback, and recognizing achievements
