About the role

  • Manager II, Business Analytics overseeing multiple analyst teams at Navy Federal Credit Union. Conducting data analyses to identify growth opportunities and align operations with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses and gather, organize and review data to identify internal and external strategic issues and opportunities affecting growth and profitability of the organization
  • Contribute to the development of functional strategy by recommending best practices and process improvements
  • Develop specialized skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques
  • Oversees multiple Business Analyst teams or a large function, responsible for strategy and planning to align business operations with the credit union's mission and goals
  • Translate functional and business strategies into short-term data analytics objectives and team priorities
  • Manage multiple teams and/or specialized units of analysts, ensuring the execution of technical and operational plans
  • Establish and refine frameworks for data cleaning, validation, and anomaly detection
  • Lead and advise on resolution of complex data sourcing and quality issues impacting key business initiatives
  • Collaborate across departments to develop integrated data models and scalable reporting tools
  • Provide mentorship and professional development for team members and prepare successors for leadership roles

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • College/university degree and 7+ years work experience; 3+ years of management experience
  • Expertise in managing analytics programs and projects, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and timelines
  • Ability to guide team members in employing the appropriate analytical techniques to solve complex business problems
  • Experience in establishing quality control mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs
  • Ability to develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the success and impact of analytics initiatives
  • Strong ability to manage multiple teams, ensuring alignment and cohesion in achieving objectives
  • Expertise in managing projects from conception to execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Ability to analyze diverse data and identify trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas and strategies to various audiences
  • Flexibility to adapt strategies and processes in response to evolving business conditions or challenges
  • Commitment to fostering team growth through training, feedback, and recognizing achievements
  • Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience (desired qualification)
