About the role
- Manager of Environmental Sustainability at PayPal responsible for implementing Environmental Management System. Leading environmental and climate initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders for social impact strategies.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and development of PayPal’s organization-wide Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Management of environmental and climate-related risks and opportunities
- Collection and reporting of environmental impact results
- Partner with members of the Environmental Working Group (EWG)
- Support implementation and development of PayPal’s environmental risk management policy and procedures
- Identify and recommend best practices for social impact initiatives
- Lead functional projects and programs related to social impact
- Conduct analysis to understand business trends and implications for social impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with social impact strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong environmental and climate change background
- Experience in corporate sustainability/ESG management and reporting
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience motivating, influencing, and leading cross-functional teams
- Robust understanding of GHG emissions, energy and renewable energy, water, office consumable and electronic waste in a corporate operations and value chain context
- Demonstrated understanding of the landscape and trends in corporate environmental reporting frameworks, standards, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with large, complex data sets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
