About the role

  • Manage Compensation & Benefits strategy and team at a growing global service provider. Implementing compensation strategies and ensuring compliance with legal standards in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and further develop the team
  • Develop, maintain and implement compensation strategies and policies, including fixed and variable pay, in collaboration with corporate headquarters and the works council
  • Establish and further develop a job grading / job evaluation system, ensuring transparency of job profiles and levels
  • Ensure compliance with national legal requirements, collective bargaining agreements and works agreements; monitor legal changes
  • Conduct ongoing market studies / benchmarking and analyze internal data, perform gap analyses and identify trends
  • Develop a relevant KPI dashboard
  • Initiate and lead projects, e.g., standardization, implementation or optimization of C&B systems or tools

Requirements

  • Completed degree, ideally in business administration, economics, human resources/HR management or a related field
  • Several years (min. 8–10 years) of leadership experience in Compensation & Benefits / reward management
  • Experience with job grading / job evaluation systems
  • Good knowledge of German employment, tax and social security law
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements, works agreements, and compensation and bonus models
  • Experience with HR systems / tools, e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Excel / Power BI, and possibly salary benchmarking tools
  • Analytical thinker with strong numerical affinity and the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Ability to engage and convince stakeholders
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
