About the role

• Malware Reverse Engineer joining Cloudflare's Cloudforce One team protecting customers from cyber threats. Analyzing malware samples and contributing to threat intelligence operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze malicious binaries to monitor and disrupt cyber threat activity across platforms
• Support both client requests and proactive internal research
• Work alongside detection engineers and threat researchers to detect and track attacks
• Contribute to expanding the malware lab environment and streamline malware analysis

Requirements

• 7+ years of previous experience reverse engineering malware samples
• Proficient in Python or Golang
• Experience writing code to process malware samples
• Hands on static and dynamic analysis of common file formats on Windows, macOS, or UNIX-based platforms
• Experience writing malware reports
• Understanding of source code, hex, binary, regular expression, data correlation, and analysis such as network flow and system logs.
• Knowledgeable of current malware techniques to evade detection and obstruct analysis.
• Reverse engineering experience with APT malware with an understanding of common infection vectors.
• Experience with network protocol analysis and cryptography
