About the role

  • Workplace Services Engineer managing facility management responsibilities, data analysis, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborating with teams to improve user experience at Zurich's campus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the operational and strategic responsibilities of Facility Management
  • Collects and analyzes building-specific data
  • Prepares meaningful reports
  • Responsible for master data maintenance of the CAFM system
  • Further develops the system
  • Monitors and controls the effectiveness of building systems and external vendors
  • Initiates and supports projects and continuous improvements of building technologies
  • Actively participates in fault finding and remediation of heating, ventilation, cooling, and other systems
  • Ensures the building management system including IoT sensors functions optimally
  • Interacts with planners, contractors and internal staff
  • Leads sustainability initiatives and renewal of existing sustainability certificates
  • Works closely with the Head Workplace Services on projects to continuously improve the user experience
  • On-call duty availability

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training (commercial or technical) with further education in maintenance or Facility Management
  • Several years of experience in Facility Management and building systems
  • Very good IT skills (Office 365)
  • Experience with CAFM systems and operating building management systems
  • Conceptual thinking and service-oriented approach
  • Independent, structured and precise working style
  • Resilience, assertiveness and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent German and English skills, spoken and written
