About the role
- Legal Counsel advising on operational business legal matters focused on data protection and IT security at Verimi. Supporting audits, contract negotiations, and innovative projects in a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Advise on legal matters related to operational business
- Support audits and certifications
- Ensure data protection compliance at Verimi
- Contribute to the development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Coordinate IT security audits
- Independently negotiate contracts
- Review legal issues from business and technical perspectives
- Support innovative projects from concept to implementation
Requirements
- University degree in Law or Business Law
- Affinity for topics related to data protection, information security and responsible data handling
- Some professional experience—e.g., in a law firm or an in-house legal department—is a plus but not required
- Legal expertise with an interest in technology and business
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken
