About the role
- Lead Physical Therapist at Connecticut Children’s overseeing pediatric sports therapy operations and enhancing service quality. Serve as mentor and lead community outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating day-to-day activities and operations of the sports physical therapy division.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, organizational, and department policies and procedures.
- Serve as a receptor, mentor, and resource to staff.
- Lead Quality Improvement process.
- Enhance the quality of services provided by the department.
- Lead community outreach, program development, and staff education/training.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy.
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree (DPT) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pediatric sports medicine.
- Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist licensure required.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR in adult, child & infant is required.
- Orthopedic or Sports Clinical Specialist Certification preferred.
- Professional membership with APTA preferred.
- Computer proficiency in Windows environment.
- Beginning to intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
