About the role

Responsibilities
- Analyse complex datasets to uncover insights that inform business decisions.
- Build reports and dashboards to track key metrics and KPIs.
- Translate business questions into clear, actionable data analysis.
- Visualise data and tell compelling stories that bring insights to life.
- Partner with department heads to identify priorities and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Understand stakeholder needs and deliver meaningful, actionable insights.
- Help non-technical teams interpret data and apply it in decision-making.
- Support leadership in defining and structuring KPIs across the business.
- Develop a cohesive KPI tree aligned with company goals.
- Maintain and improve existing data pipeline to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Integrate new data sources and prepare them for analysis.
- Line-manage and mentor a Data Analyst, providing guidance and clear priorities.
- Help shape the growth of the data function and define best practices.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong curiosity and proactive mindset, with the ability to independently explore data, ask the right questions, identify opportunities, and drive projects forward without requiring constant guidance.
- Experience in data analytics and the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Proficiency with SQL and other data query languages.
- Proven ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate their needs into data-driven solutions.
- Experience in developing reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a way that is understandable and actionable for non-technical stakeholders across departments.
- Proficiency with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
- Ability to educate and train stakeholders on data literacy.
- Basic skills in maintaining and evolving data pipelines (nice to have).
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python or R for data manipulation (nice to have).
- Understanding of statistical methods and their application to business problems (nice to have).
