About the role
- AI Engineer developing and leading Databricks AI initiatives for Deutsche Börse Group. Collaborating with data engineers and business stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of current and future AI products on Databricks.
- Enhance, promote and maintain AI/ML Framework for Databricks.
- Explore and define baselines for new Databricks AI features, understand how they work, their governance, and cost implications.
- Coordinate work across data engineers and data scientists using Agile practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Document technical processes and decisions clearly and concisely.
- Evangelize and demo AI applications to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with AI framework / products / applications
- Strong Python skills and experience working with the LLM API.
- Hands-on experience with MLFlow and familiarity with Genie AI/BI.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure AI and/or Google Cloud AI services and/or Databricks.
- Solid grasp of HTTP semantics and RESTful API design.
- Passion for GenAI and emerging agentic frameworks.
- Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Azure Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
- Bonus points for experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Pytest, Ruff, or Celery.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
