Responsibilities
Monitor and assist in the preparation of technical specifications, proposal analyses, evaluation of new technologies, project planning and execution, problem-solving and diagnostics, and the deployment of hardware, software and systems related to the department, as well as monitor their development when intended or related to Supervision and Control of the Electric Power System.
Monitor non-forced occurrences through ISA Energia systems, analyze and suggest operational and maintenance actions to resolve supervision and control anomalies and ensure the availability of the oscillography collection system.
Support execution of point-to-point tests, verifying the consistency of information between local SCADA, the Operation Control Center, ONS and other agents, as well as integrating and analyzing the operation of new systems and equipment.
Assist with maintaining configurations and single-line diagrams of the SAGE supervision and control system, and support the evolution and maintenance of automatic oscillography collection systems, phasor measurement and historical systems (PI – AVEVA and PostgreSQL).
Assist in the evolution and maintenance of the SAGE supervision and control database for the Operation Center and substations, providing the necessary configurations for acquisition of substation data and distribution of data to ONS in compliance with network procedures.
Attend site acceptance tests (SAT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT) for network architectures, systems and applications based on the IEC 61850 standard, ensuring functionality and standardization.
Drive company vehicles when necessary, provided the employee is duly licensed and authorized; driving may be a required condition to perform certain job duties.
Comply with internal and external regulations, policies and instructions; participate in and receive guidance on anti-corruption, anti-bribery and compliance topics; follow health, hygiene and occupational safety standards; adhere to quality management and environmental preservation systems; and use PPE and collective protective equipment when activities require it.
Carry out other duties inherent to the role or as directed by the immediate supervisor, provided the employee is qualified and the tasks are consistent with their knowledge and experience.
Manage and configure operational LAN and WAN equipment and infrastructure, and support the configuration of cybersecurity equipment (firewall, IDS, IPS, etc.) to ensure compliance with predefined standards and requirements.
Contribute to the configuration, development, maintenance and deployment of systems and applications used by the Operations Department, provide internal user support and training, and manage and enforce system access security using appropriate methods and systems.
Prepare technical specifications, analyze proposals and evaluate new technologies with a focus on innovative solutions aligned with digital transformation trends and emerging technologies (such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, IoT and automation). Participate in project planning and execution, solve complex problems, produce technical diagnostics and deploy modern, scalable enterprise systems, among other related responsibilities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation and Control Engineering.
Solid knowledge in maintenance and configuration of the SAGE SCADA database.
Analysis and troubleshooting of industrial protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, ICCP, DNP3.
Administration and maintenance of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
Computer networking (TCP/IP) and communication protocols.
Server virtualization (VMware vSphere, vCenter).
Active Directory (AD) administration.
Database administration and SQL (PostgreSQL and SQL Server).
Modeling functional technical requirements with a focus on software development.
Automation of administrative tasks using Ansible, PowerShell or Bash.
