Entry-level NOC system administrator supporting Linux and Windows infrastructure for team.blue, ensuring uptime and incident response.
Responsibilities
Work with an international team aimed towards reaching record-setting uptimes
Learn the ins and outs of both Linux and Windows
Be the first responder to all incidents and provide solutions for them
Investigate complex problems and apply permanent solutions
Work with a variety of server applications and software products (Apache, NGINX, MySQL, HAProxy, Veeam, VMware's virtualization suite)
Get familiar with our cloud infrastructure
Keep all systems updated and perform regular maintenances
Work on a flexible day/night shift schedule
Monitor, troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise 24/7
Execute maintenance plans, check and ensure consistency of backups, fine-tune web and database servers, keep all systems up-to-date, ensuring maximum uptime
Coordinate changes and work together on complex solutions
Work on internal infrastructure as well as on many of the different customers' assets
Not in direct communication with end customers
Requirements
Any experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Windows Server
Any experience with Apache, MySQL, NGINX, Varnish, Microsoft IIS
Basic networking knowledge
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to follow guidelines and procedures, recognize opportunities for improvements and execute them while coordinating your actions with the different departments
Ability to quickly pick up new skills and constantly be in the loop in a dynamic environment while working on day and/or night shifts
Advanced English is a must
