Managing internal controls and risk structures in Brazil and LATAM at Lavoro Agro. Overseeing compliance with legislation and internal audit processes.
Responsibilities
Manage the internal controls and risk structure (including the Risk Committee), Internal Audit and SOX within Lavoro Brazil and LATAM to meet the requirements of Brazilian and U.S. legislation, SEC, NASDAQ and PCAOB regulations, and market best practices, in line with COSO ERM and ISO 31000.
Perform detailed process and flow mapping to build control matrices for the Lavoro Agro group, considering operational diversity;
Prepare area documentation and working papers;
Guide and support business areas in implementing Lavoro Agro policies, standards and procedures;
Ensure compliance with the methodologies and standards adopted by the company;
Assist in developing solutions to address process deficiencies, supporting and advising business areas;
Support managers in mitigating corporate risks;
Perform control testing at the frequency defined by leadership in coordination with the Company;
Interact with external auditors and consultants;
Assist in training for business areas.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields;
Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and risk management frameworks (COSO ERM, COBIT, etc.);
Advanced Excel skills;
Knowledge of SAP;
Experience with process mapping, operational and strategic risk, internal/external audits and SOX;
Preferred: CRC (registration with the Regional Accounting Council)
