About the role

  • Personal Lines Insurance Agent maintaining and maximizing relationships with clients while driving new sales opportunities. Position requires Illinois insurance license and two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects
  • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs
  • Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage
  • Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates
  • Collaborate with team members, provide expertise, answer questions, and participate in meetings
  • Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education

Requirements

  • Hold Illinois insurance license
  • Minimum of two years personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
  • Strong presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
  • People-oriented and customer-focused
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Sound business judgment and strong decision-making
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Thrive in a team environment
  • Proficient with technology and computer software including agency management systems
