About the role

  • The Instructional Systems Designer is a fully experienced with the skillset or knowledge, works with minimal supervision; capable of serving as a trainer, mentor to junior and mid-level staff.
  • Capable of designing and developing instructional material for customer training courses that supports the organization.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in understanding computer systems, applications and interfaces.
  • Delivers content clearly and concisely in accordance with established training program objectives and parameters and coaches and motivates students.
  • Develops training exercises and tests to evaluate students' skills and progress and provides individual feedback to each student and his/her supervisor(s).

Requirements

  • BA/BS/AS Degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience Preferred: 3 to 5 years, IT, Healthcare or related experience in a training capacity preferred.
  • EPIC certifications in one or more applications and TED, i.e. Willow, ADT, ASAP, etc.
  • One or more professional certifications/fellowships, i.e. American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and/or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • Other relevant Healthcare IS or IS system certification, i.e. Cerner, Lawson, SAP, Microsoft, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
