About the role
- Junior Infrastructure Engineer ensuring modern energy transition battery systems are secure and efficient. Involves maintaining networks, IT-security, and contributing to process improvements in a technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- You manage infrastructure components such as switches, firewalls and networks — from planning through commissioning
- You analyze existing plant structures and develop standards and improvements from them
- You install, configure and integrate hardware and software solutions into the existing infrastructure
- You perform regular maintenance, updates, backups and security patches
- You contribute to redundancy and security concepts and implement them
- You carry out functional tests and document your work in a traceable manner
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist), IT systems electronics or a degree in a related IT field
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and IT hardware
- Experience with network technology (routing, firewalls, protocols)
- Ideally, initial experience with industrial/commercial infrastructures
- Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong team spirit
- Basic knowledge of Bash or PowerShell — or willingness to learn them
