About the role

• Industrial Data Analytics Intern supporting the Digital Industrial Transformation strategy at Solvay. Collaborating on sensor development and process optimization using data analytics and machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of soft sensors using historical and real-time industrial data.
• Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to model process variables.
• Collaborating with process engineers and data scientists to validate models and ensure operational relevance.
• Documenting methodologies and results to ensure reproducibility and scalability.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders across industrial and digital teams.

Requirements

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemical engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or Applied Mathematics.
• Relevant experience in data analytics, process optimization or industrial automation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Familiarity with industrial data systems (e.g., historians, SCADA, OPC).
• Proficiency in industrial unit operations.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and statistical modeling.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-paced industrial environment.
