About the role

  • Perform microelectronic assembly of hybrid integrated circuit devices on a variety of small production lots.
  • Perform functional and final testing on products.
  • Perform electro-weld sealing operation.
  • Support Semi-Annual and Annual Laboratory Parts / Chemical Inventories
  • Document results and contribute to ongoing improvements to assembly standard work.
  • Record and report production data.
  • Set up and change over equipment.
  • Use measuring and diagnostic tools.

Requirements

  • Ability to read/interpret product drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Follow written assembly and test instructions
  • Comply with applicable Honeywell Quality System Requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to support multiple concurrent assembly lots.
  • Troubleshooting skills to be able to resolve device performance issues, using basic electronic test instruments.
  • Safely operate manual, semi-auto, and automatic equipment.
  • Accurately complete required documentation in a neat and timely manner.
  • Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical abilities to be able to do minor repairs and maintenance on assembly equipment and test fixturing.
  • Ability to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.
  • Practical experience working with engineering equipment.
  • Proven ability to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures.
  • Sound technical judgment and opinions. Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, based on fundamental technical information on assembly processing.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
  • Ability to work with microscopes and tweezers to accurately place microelectronic components.
  • Soldering skills, ability to obtain solder certification.
