Hybrids Engineering Technician supporting assembly and testing of microwave integrated circuits for Honeywell. Collaborating with engineers and technicians in the Minneapolis lab.
Responsibilities
Perform microelectronic assembly of hybrid integrated circuit devices on a variety of small production lots.
Perform functional and final testing on products.
Perform electro-weld sealing operation.
Support Semi-Annual and Annual Laboratory Parts / Chemical Inventories
Document results and contribute to ongoing improvements to assembly standard work.
Record and report production data.
Set up and change over equipment.
Use measuring and diagnostic tools.
Requirements
Ability to read/interpret product drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Follow written assembly and test instructions
Comply with applicable Honeywell Quality System Requirements.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to support multiple concurrent assembly lots.
Troubleshooting skills to be able to resolve device performance issues, using basic electronic test instruments.
Safely operate manual, semi-auto, and automatic equipment.
Accurately complete required documentation in a neat and timely manner.
Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and attention to detail.
Mechanical abilities to be able to do minor repairs and maintenance on assembly equipment and test fixturing.
Ability to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.
Practical experience working with engineering equipment.
Proven ability to find effective solutions based on root causes; and apply six sigma procedures.
Sound technical judgment and opinions. Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, based on fundamental technical information on assembly processing.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team or project setting.
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.
Ability to work with microscopes and tweezers to accurately place microelectronic components.
Soldering skills, ability to obtain solder certification.
