About the role
- Hospice Director of Clinical Services managing operational functions intermittently across multiple locations in Washington and Alaska. Responsible for the interdisciplinary team's needs and patient care guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation
- Provide Hospice Director of Clinical Services functions intermittently in assigned programs
- Travel extensively working in different locations as needed
- Direct and manage the interdisciplinary team (IDT) in meeting the needs of the hospice patient and family
- Supervise up to 20 team members; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising performance
- Attend/Lead Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, ensuring patient care needs are identified and documented timely
- Manage all members of the IDT including aspects of scheduling, productivity, mentoring, time keeping, and performance reviews
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of three (3) years in healthcare required, preferably in a nursing facility, home health or hospice setting
- Experience in leadership or management strongly preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems a strong plus
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state(s) of employment, in addition to every state in the Region this role will be covering required
