About the role
- Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term technology roadmap.
- Align technology decisions with business strategy and product goals.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve productivity and maintainability.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend and backend developers.
- Foster a culture of code quality, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
- Oversee end-to-end development cycles, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Own release management and deployment processes.
- Maintain and evolve the platform architecture for scalability and performance.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data protection best practices.
- Oversee code reviews, testing practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of all technology systems, ensuring high availability, resilience, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Product to ensure features are feasible, well-scoped, and technically sound.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Head of Technology, CTO, or Lead Engineer in a fast-growing tech company (fintech or SaaS preferred).
- Strong background in both frontend and backend development, with emphasis on frontend and expertise in modern frameworks and architectures.
- Experience scaling platforms with high reliability and security requirements.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing tech teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, able to align tech and business priorities.
- Experience with B2C products / B2C SaaS.
- Experience or interest in tech stack: React Native, Django (Python), Celery, Kubernetes, Redis, AWS, PostgreSQL.
