About the role

• Head of SAP ERP Competence Center leading SAP landscape in EMEA region. Shaping S/4 HANA transformation and ensuring operational excellence in SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EMEA SAP ERP team (~10 people) and manage all SAP applications and integrations in scope.
• Define and execute the SAP strategy, ensuring alignment with global IT and business objectives.
• Oversee the operation, governance, and continuous improvement of ERP systems, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity according to SLAs.
• Manage relationships with external partners, integrators, and licensing providers; ensure cost-effective service delivery and vendor performance.
• Maintain SAP CCoE certification and ensure compliance with ITGC and audit standards.
• Drive architecture and process improvements, supporting future readiness for SAP S/4 HANA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, and Product Management) to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Own the EMEA ERP budget, ensuring cost control and value delivery.
• Champion best practices, innovation, and user experience improvements across the SAP environment.
• Foster a culture of excellence, learning, and accountability within the SAP Competence Center.

Requirements

• Degree in Business IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification).
• SAP trainings/certifications (including openSAP).
• 10+ years of experience in SAP ERP environments, including team leadership and project delivery in international organizations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, integration, and customization, ideally with experience in S/4 HANA transition.
• Proven track record managing SAP service operations and vendors in a global context.
• Deep understanding of business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional SAP transformation projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; German or another European language is an advantage.
