Architect of operational infrastructure at CurbWaste, modernizing the waste and recycling industry. Collaborating with founders to build processes, systems, and teams while executing operational strategies.
Responsibilities
You'll be the architect of our operational infrastructure.
This isn't about maintaining the status quo—you'll be building systems, processes, and teams while keeping the trucks running.
Work directly with our founders and leadership team to identify operational bottlenecks, design solutions, and execute with urgency.
Immediate impact: Audit current operations across finance, HR, legal, and facilities to identify critical gaps.
Implement quick wins that reduce friction and free up founder/leadership time.
Own vendor relationships and negotiate better contracts.
Partner with finance team for budget management.
Lead quarterly planning and cross-functional project coordination.
Near Term Impact: Build and scale our people operations: onboarding, performance management, compensation frameworks.
Design and implement systems for managing rapid growth (tools, workflows, documentation).
Establish data-driven operational metrics and reporting cadence.
Begin building your team as complexity grows.
Long Term Opportunity: Evolve into VP Operations or COO as the company scales.
Requirements
4-7 years of experience in high-performing environments: management consulting, investment banking, startup operations, or strategic finance
Track record of building processes and systems from scratch, not just maintaining them
Exceptional project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities—you love diving into data to find insights
Proven ability to execute with limited resources and ambiguous direction
Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence without authority
Bias toward action and comfort making decisions with incomplete information
Strongly Preferred
Experience at a high-growth startup during a key scaling phase
Exposure to multiple operational functions (finance, HR, legal, sales ops)
Background in management consulting (MBB or similar) or investment banking
Familiarity with startup tools and systems (e.g., Ramp, Carta, Equals, Hubspot)
Experience supporting fundraising processes or board-level reporting
Flextime, recognition, and support for autonomous work: Flexible time off with ample learning and development opportunities to continue growing your career.
Health benefits: Company-paid medical, dental, and vision
