Responsibilities
Take strategic responsibility for the financial core areas: group controlling, group accounting, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting
Develop and implement standards and policies for finance processes across the group
Work closely with the CFO to design and implement a forward-looking finance strategy
Ensure accurate budget planning, forecasts and analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making
Monitor the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of finance processes
Identify and implement improvement measures to increase transparency and profitability of the finance departments
Oversee and coordinate the consolidated financial statements and individual financial statements in accordance with national and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
Support internal and external audits to ensure the compliance and integrity of financial reporting
Responsible for the proper execution of day-to-day accounting processes
Optimize accounting processes and ensure correct and timely processing of transactions
Implement accounting best practices to maximize efficiency and accuracy
Prepare and present financial reports and analyses for the CFO and other executives
Requirements
University degree in business administration, finance, controlling or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in a leadership role within finance, ideally gained in the healthcare sector such as hospitals, or in the holding company of a hospital operator or healthcare business
Solid knowledge of controlling, financial reporting (HGB and IFRS) and accounting
Strong strategic and analytical skills and a high degree of problem-solving ability
Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and develop teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a strong results orientation
