About the role
- Shape and deliver the data strategy, driving the journey towards data self-service and ML-driven business impact
- Own the vision and strategy of the Data organisation and operationalise it
- Oversee high-quality, impactful delivery across data platform, analytics engineering, analytics, and data science
- Supervise execution and maximise the contribution of the data organisation towards company OKRs
- Boost data literacy and business metric awareness across the organisation
- Operationalise self-serve capabilities and reduce reliance on central teams
- Implement governance processes for data ownership, documentation, and quality
- Represent the data function in company leadership forums
- Lead, manage, coach, and grow a cross-disciplinary, high-performing data team
Requirements
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary data teams, with strong expertise in data science, in fast-paced tech environments
- Strong track record of setting and operationalising data strategies in fast-paced tech environments
- Proven ability to lead change at company level
- Outstanding English communication skills with the ability to align executives, demystify complex topics, and inspire teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Passion for scaling data capabilities and fostering data-driven decision-making across an organisation
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, with a passion for coaching and team development
- Pragmatic mindset, capable of translating technical excellence into tangible business outcomes
- Hands-on approach, ready to roll up your sleeves to make things happen when needed
