About the role

  • Leader in IT strategy and information security for a company focused on water supply and flood protection. Overseeing IT direction and security processes with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the strategic direction and development of the company’s IT
  • Close cooperation with executive management as well as internal and external partners
  • Lead and coordinate the information security process and maintain the ISMS
  • Develop guidelines, policies and implementation plans for information security
  • Initiate and review security measures
  • Plan and conduct incident response exercises, training and awareness campaigns
  • Assess information security risks and opportunities
  • Coordinate security-relevant projects
  • Lead and coordinate the decision-making committee for digitalization
  • Further develop the digitalization strategy
  • Represent the company in relevant committees (DVGW, BDEW, VKU, UP KRITIS)

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Leadership experience in a senior IT role
  • Good knowledge of the IT requirements for a KRITIS (critical infrastructure) company
  • Many years of experience executing and leading IT or digitalization projects
  • Experience applying AI in a business/operational context
  • Certifications in information security (e.g., ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are an advantage
  • Strong self-management and high reliability
  • Decision-making ability and resilience
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Driver’s license (Class B)
