Establish ownership of Lander harness design by reviewing ICDs from Avionics REs.
Partner with subsystem Avionics Lead Engineer and Systems Engineering to implement harnesses that satisfy power and data architecture.
Partner with subsystem Avionics Lead Engineer and Systems Engineering to develop vehicle channelization.
Route all harnesses within 3D modeling software and create associated drawings to be used for procurement and Lander integration.
Participate in all program milestones including relevant trade studies and design reviews.
Collaborate with Test engineering team to author Test Plans used to verify hardware.
Support Harness integration and verification within Flat Sat environment.
Design and deliver robust, reliable electrical harness solutions for lunar lander systems that perform in the harsh environment of space and the lunar surface.
Collaborate with the Avionics team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure spacecraft systems communicate seamlessly and meet mission requirements.
Requirements
BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering or physics. We will consider a combination of education and experience.
3+ years of relevant work experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems.
U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR compliance).
Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or similar) and electrical schematic capture software.
Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and troubleshoot wiring on test bench or on vehicle.
Familiarity with project management tools, including Atlassian.
Demonstrated professional experience in serialized harness design & manufacturing (Automotive, Aircraft, and/or spacecraft harness design).
Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) including Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI).
Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Self-motivated learner and ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced design and development environment; schedule may vary; flexibility required.
