About the role
- Hardware Development Engineer designing advanced battery management systems for electric vehicles at Munich Electrification. Collaborating in a hybrid work environment on innovative hardware solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an expert team of hardware and software developers on battery management systems
- Develop hardware components for battery applications
- Design and develop innovative test devices
- Take ownership of hardware designs
- Implement and execute the overall hardware product test concept
- Report directly to the Head of Hardware Development
- Contribute to existing battery management expertise with experience and proficiency in analog and digital circuit design and testing
- (Partially) automate hardware tests and design test equipment
Requirements
- Degree in an engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or similar)
- Experience in electronics design, testing and analysis; automotive experience preferred
- Familiarity with hardware component and integration test methods and strong background in planning, executing and automating test cases; Python knowledge is a plus
- Experience in electronics design and manufacturing, ability to create schematics and layouts and interpret drawings
- Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of projects
- Creative, curious, and enthusiastic about innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills (English required; German is a plus)
