About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cutting-edge hardware solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of aerospace products.
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager on a hybrid work schedule from Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Impact the efficiency and effectiveness of aerospace solutions by driving innovation and ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
  • Build a strong, diverse team by recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Engineering degrees such as Electrical Engineering (EE) or related fields.
  • Experience in hardware (V&V) Validation & Verification.
  • Experience in leading hardware design projects.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
  • Experience with DO-160 and DO-254.
  • Experience with TSO and PMA for aerospace products.
