About the role

  • Build end-to-end features for the climate risk platform across data, back-end, and UI.
  • Develop both front-end and back-end components for integrated workflows.
  • Implement secure APIs, scalable data access layers, and user-facing dashboards.
  • Leverage AWS services to deliver high-availability solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (climate scientists, risk managers, data engineers).
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Write/Debug Python scripts for support/automation tasks.
  • Initial engagement will be for 9 to 12 months with a view to extend.

Requirements

  • 8–11 years delivering enterprise full-stack cloud-hosted solutions
  • Full-stack development
  • AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc)
  • Kubernetes
  • Python
  • Event-Driven workflow & notifications (SQS, SNS, Kafka, etc)
  • Postgres
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  • Ability to write/debug Python scripts for support/automation tasks
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (climate scientists, risk managers, data engineers)
