About the role

  • Monitoring capital projects and ensure projects are reconciled, itemized, and capitalized.
  • Advising project managers on properly categorizing Expense versus Capital.
  • Conducting physical verification of asset listing.
  • Capital Lease accounting.
  • Reviewing all new leases and ensure lease accounting is accurate.
  • Reconciling Lease accounts monthly.
  • Verifying depreciation expense is recorded at month end and perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Participating in Global Capex team meetings
  • Supporting local and regional projects
  • Directing support to Internal and External Audits
  • Providing support in other accounting areas as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Experience applying IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment, and IFRS 16 Lease Accounting
  • Strong general accounting knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Organized with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Adjust to changing priorities in fast paced environment
  • Professional attitude who works well within a team
