Responsibilities
- Develop systems manuals, logs, and operating procedures
- Support build completion, sea trials, and technical handovers
- Assist in planning global itineraries and provisioning
- Participate in familiarisation training with shipyard and OEM suppliers
- Maintain and operate all mechanical/electrical systems, including hybrid drive
- Act as relief Captain when needed
- Maintain vessel to charter, research, and media standards
- Manage watersports gear, dive equipment, and scientific tools
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and adventurous onboard culture
Requirements
- RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Power) with Commercial Endorsement
- ENG1 (unrestricted)
- AEC + STCW Basic Training
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- RYA Radar Course
- First Mate/Engineer on 16m+ vessels
- Extensive experience in mechanical and electrical system maintenance
- Long-distance cruising / ocean passages
- Experience managing contractors and working in shipyards
- IT proficiency and onboard systems knowledge
