Consultant in Risk Advisory Group advising on financial risk and compliance challenges for clients in the financial sector. Engaging in complex data analysis and developing risk models.
Responsibilities
Advise clients in the financial sector on complex financial risk and compliance challenges
Support banks, insurers, and asset managers in strengthening their risk frameworks, models, and governance
Work with large and complex financial data sets to detect and prevent unauthorized activities such as money laundering, fraud, and sanctions violations
Develop and validate GenAI models, utilise machine learning to enhance Anti-Financial Crime capabilities
Use AI-driven techniques to identify emerging risk patterns, improve transaction monitoring, and support regulatory compliance
Support clients in developing, validating quantitative risk models and/or reviewing risk frameworks for financial and/or non-financial risks
Analyze and manage large-scale transactional and customer datasets to uncover hidden risk patterns related to financial crime
Develop and validate predictive and generative models that support proactive risk identification and regulatory reporting
Review how clients currently use financial technology, identify best practice improvements, and implement those changes
Work alongside experienced colleagues to help manage the project success and align with client expectations
Advance the project work by completing assigned tasks or providing client support
Decide which market trends and legislation to research so that you can develop your own expertise within Zanders.
Requirements
PhD or Master's degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics, Econometrics, Computer science or Engineering
0-2 years of experience in quantitative projects
Good programming skills in e.g Python and Spark
High degree of creativity, adaptability, and sociability
Experience in creating NLP and LLM pipelines is a plus
Regulatory knowledge (e.g. AI act, wwft) is preferred.
