About the role

  • Finance Manager leading day-to-day finance operations for Ophelos, a debt collections startup aiming to help clients clear their debts while improving customer experiences and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, VAT and payroll
  • Assist with client money handling reporting and processes
  • Assist with the delivery of timely, accurate month-end and management accounting
  • Work closely with the business to deliver the budget and forecasting moving forwards
  • Identify value-adding insights to support with long-term strategic planning
  • Assist with completion of the annual statutory accounts and external audit process
  • Continuous process improvement, ad-hoc projects and automation to enable the business to scale

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant
  • Start Up experience (preferred)
  • High excel competencies
  • Ability to build and develop new processes and adaptability with the use of optimisation tooling
  • Organised and good communicator
