About the role
- Finance Manager leading day-to-day finance operations for Ophelos, a debt collections startup aiming to help clients clear their debts while improving customer experiences and insights.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day finance operations, including AP, AR, VAT and payroll
- Assist with client money handling reporting and processes
- Assist with the delivery of timely, accurate month-end and management accounting
- Work closely with the business to deliver the budget and forecasting moving forwards
- Identify value-adding insights to support with long-term strategic planning
- Assist with completion of the annual statutory accounts and external audit process
- Continuous process improvement, ad-hoc projects and automation to enable the business to scale
Requirements
- Qualified accountant
- Start Up experience (preferred)
- High excel competencies
- Ability to build and develop new processes and adaptability with the use of optimisation tooling
- Organised and good communicator
