About the role

  • Field Application Engineer for nuclear power plants at AEG Power Solutions. Handling customer requirements and product adequacy while providing technical and commercial support.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and document customer requirements
  • Assess company products for suitability and potential application
  • Advise customers and, when necessary, consult with other technical departments
  • Adjust pricing in coordination with the responsible Account Manager
  • Coordinate schedules and delivery times with relevant departments
  • Prepare descriptions and proposal documentation and monitor deadlines
  • Follow up on proposals and execute order placement in consultation with the responsible Account Manager
  • Review orders from technical and commercial perspectives
  • Forward orders to Project and Order Management or enter customer-specific purchase orders
  • Track order processing schedules and monitor deadlines; if deviations occur, develop alternative scheduling solutions
  • Process customer claims for additional work or changes
  • Organize and conduct customer acceptance tests (FAT) when required
  • Participate in customer acquisition activities and project meetings
  • Staff company trade show/exhibition booths when AEG is represented at events
  • Develop supporting materials for Account Managers
  • Maintain and support specific product groups and keep documentation up to date
  • Provide commercial and technical sales support

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. FH) or equivalent
  • Experience in a relevant industry; commercial experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of products/applications/solutions for industrial power systems
  • Basic knowledge of contract law is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Visio and SAP
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
