Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Wind Engineering Coordinator, the Experienced Wind Studies Engineer is responsible for leading the technical aspects of wind projects during development and pre-construction phases and for monitoring engineering and pre-construction costs.
Respond to requests from the Wind Development team on construction and infrastructure topics
Maintain and update a construction cost database (site works and utilities - VRD, civil works, MV/HV networks (HTA/HTB), delivery points (PDL), telecommunications, etc.) and perform economic assessments of construction costs
Provide technical leadership for projects in development and pre-construction by developing technical and economic solutions
Review and validate engineering and construction information in environmental permit application files
Define and optimize processes
Engage with turbine suppliers in coordination with Procurement and Construction teams
Manage and/or conduct and analyze site reconnaissance and access studies for wind farms
Monitor technological developments related to foundations, transportation, lifting, installation/assembly, and repowering
Liaise with PV & BESS Engineering on construction-related issues
Requirements
Higher technical degree specializing in Civil Engineering, VRD (site works and utilities) or equivalent
Proven experience in wind farm construction required
Knowledge of road infrastructure and foundations
Experience in wind farm development is an advantage
Native-level French and professional working proficiency in English required (German is a plus)
Valid driving license required
