About the role
- Design and deliver enterprise architecture for Lloyds Banking Group; drive roadmaps, guardrails, and technology standards across cloud, APIs, data and security.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to architectural decisions and support the Architecture Lead in defining and delivering technology strategy
- Create and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns
- Prepare architectural artefacts and documentation to support governance and compliance
- Build strong relationships with business, engineering, and CTO stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date technical skills and monitor emerging technologies and industry trends
- Conduct external research to inform business design and enable corporate strategy
- Collaborate with a team of architects to ensure alignment with group and technology strategy
- Work in an agile way, participating in agile ceremonies and supporting iterative delivery
Requirements
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience
- Good working knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and hybrid hosting architectures
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and modular applications
- Experience with data strategies: data lifecycle, ETL, data modelling, governance
- Knowledge of cybersecurity
- Knowledge of technology sustainability
- Experience in payments, digital transformation, retail banking
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, product, and business teams
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
- Ability to conduct external research, horizon scanning and evaluate innovative solutions
