About the role

  • Lead a small team of diverse, talented, and enthusiastic engineering professionals in the execution of the Contractor Standing Capability (CSC) activities
  • Develop priority engineering change documentation to maintain the VLF Communications Transmitter and its associated infrastructure
  • Manage the team to produce engineering changes that achieve regulatory compliance, safety and technical performance whilst meeting project schedules through delivery of key milestones within budget and timeframes
  • Diligently enforce the application of suitable engineering process to all engineering changes and their resulting technical artefacts
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Oversee risk assessments for each CSC activity ensuring adequate mitigation of engineering and project risks, issues, and opportunities is performed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least ten years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 2 years of Engineering Management experience
  • Ability to lead a multi-faceted engineering team to manage engineering change on a diverse range of systems
  • Willingness to become and maintain a Chartered Professional Engineering status via Engineers Australia
  • Familiarity with a broad range of Australian Standard (AS) and especially electrical standards
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
