About the role

• Engineering Intern assisting with planning and execution of public works projects at CSG Consultants. Opportunity for practical experience in civil engineering under supervision of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing plans, estimates and specifications for the construction of public works projects.
• Compile and review engineering data for reports and studies.
• Assist in resolution of engineering problems.
• Perform field measurements and inspections of public works projects.
• Develop and/or maintain databases, spreadsheets and reports to monitor performance of engineering projects.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus currently enrolled in Civil Engineering program from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of basic civil engineering principles and practices as applied to public works administration, design and construction.
• Ability to perform engineering computations and review existing engineering plans and studies.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, modeling and other design-aid software applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
