About the role

  • Study and Evaluate Security systems, all technical drawings, documents, products, components, applications.
  • Working for design and built projects.
  • Verify and prepare all the required design of Security systems (i.e. Compliance Statement, Material Submittal, Schematic diagrams, system architecture, Shop drawings, Installation details, Containment drawings, BOQ, Method Statements, cable schedules, wiring and termination drawings, System design specifications, Function design specification... etc.) as required in line with company and client requirements as well as standards and codes of practices.
  • Supporting testing and commissioning activities for security systems on site.
  • Getting customer approvals for all the designed engineering documents and drawings.
  • Validating technical proposals from suppliers providing areas of improvement as a value engineering for saving and increasing margins.
  • Establish customer relationships during design workshops and engineering documents/drawings coordination.
  • Documenting the engineering design activities and presenting progress reports to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Early engagement in bidding phases for security projects.
  • Increasing the opportunities of VOs that will increase project profitability.
  • Control project changes with functional efficient and affordable engineering design.
  • Provide direction and assistance for the proposed security application solution and system development.
  • Provide technical consultation and validation to the client for all proposed technical systems.
  • Provide Training, coaching, mentoring and linkage for the Implementation Team to drive best practice.
  • Executing POCs & Demos and creating case studies based on projects requirements.
  • Creating the security GUI graphical user interface for all security projects.
  • Developing and managing all security projects technical documents ex. ICD, Use cases, Application TD, FDC, Cause and effect, O&M manual, etc.
  • Project testing and commissioning execution.
  • Ensuring proper communication between the engineering team and site execution team.
  • Representing the security team in all technical coordination meeting.
  • Install and Commission the Security solution, systems and devices.
  • Resolve all engineering problems on site and eliminate unplanned downtime.
  • Reporting and documenting the work activities on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for all 3rd party technical coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline; Electrical, Mechatronics or Communications.
  • 5-8 years of experience in project background with an understanding of various security systems.
  • Very Good command of English.
  • Experience in security systems and Fire Alarm and Fire suppression Systems design, execution, and commissioning (CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, …etc.)
  • Rigid knowledge of Fire Suppression, FAS, VMS, IVAS, PSIM, ACS, PAVA, MCS, etc.
  • Expert in the standard open protocols such as OPC, MODBus, BACnet, SNMP, etc.
  • Rigid experience of handling CAD drawings and ability to analyze technical details of system drawings and schematics, with advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical symbols.
  • Ability to travel for short and long time assignments.
