About the role

Responsibilities
- You conduct feasibility studies and set up experiments in our lab to design and test camera systems
- You independently develop applications in the field of industrial image processing on PC-based and smart camera systems to solve optical inspection and identification tasks
- You manage application-specific projects professionally and on schedule, including installation and commissioning at the customer's site
- You create project-specific documentation
- You provide service and maintenance for already installed applications/systems
- You occasionally develop simple robot programs for camera and part handling (preferably after thorough prior training)
Requirements
- Completed technical training with professional experience (e.g., as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician, or IT specialist) and/or further training as a technician in automation or electrical engineering, or a completed technical degree (automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar)
- Ideally, prior experience in industrial image processing (robotics not mandatory)
- Ideally, prior experience in an industrial automation environment
- Enjoy learning new things and a willingness to develop professionally
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
- Good English language skills
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel for short assignments within Germany and elsewhere in Europe
