About the role

  • Automation Engineer specializing in industrial image processing for a company with over 30 years of experience. Engage in project work with opportunities for personal development and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • You conduct feasibility studies and set up experiments in our lab to design and test camera systems
  • You independently develop applications in the field of industrial image processing on PC-based and smart camera systems to solve optical inspection and identification tasks
  • You manage application-specific projects professionally and on schedule, including installation and commissioning at the customer's site
  • You create project-specific documentation
  • You provide service and maintenance for already installed applications/systems
  • You occasionally develop simple robot programs for camera and part handling (preferably after thorough prior training)

Requirements

  • Completed technical training with professional experience (e.g., as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician, or IT specialist) and/or further training as a technician in automation or electrical engineering, or a completed technical degree (automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar)
  • Ideally, prior experience in industrial image processing (robotics not mandatory)
  • Ideally, prior experience in an industrial automation environment
  • Enjoy learning new things and a willingness to develop professionally
  • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
  • Good English language skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for short assignments within Germany and elsewhere in Europe
