Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on power distribution equipment (e.g., switchgear, UPS, generators, ATS, PDUs)
Commission systems according to engineered specifications and document all startup testing
Analyze failures and determine root causes with corrective action plans
Interface with client facility teams to confirm power system integrity and schedule testing and repairs
Maintain 24-hour call-out availability for critical service needs
Respond to electrical faults, shutdowns, or customer escalations within required timeframes
Lead restoration efforts with composure and technical accuracy under pressure
Safety and Compliance
Requirements
Active Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent)
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience (preferred)
OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E; manufacturer training on switchgear, UPS, or generator systems (preferred)
Skilled in interpreting schematics, single-line diagrams, MOPs, test reports, and load calculations
Experience with digital multimeters, megohmmeters, power analyzers, IR cameras, and other diagnostic tools
Adherence to NEC, IEEE best practices, and U.S. electrical field service protocols
