About the role
- Platform Engineer II at NCR Atleos supporting payments processing and settlement systems. Ensuring stability, performance, and scalability for business-critical financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain financial services and settlement systems
- Manage configuration settings using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Handle SSL certificate issuance, renewal, and lifecycle management
- Design and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure environments
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for release management
- Ensure high availability and performance using monitoring tools like SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or NewRelic
- Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Use IT management tools like ServiceNow and JIRA for incident and task tracking
- Support middleware and automation tools including ActiveBatch, RabbitMQ, UiPath, and Tibco
- Maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure components including networking, operating systems, Active Directory, and IT hardware
- Develop scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, .NET, or JavaScript
- Manage databases and write SQL queries for performance and reliability
- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application delivery
- Follow security best practices and address system vulnerabilities
- Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery aligned with DevOps principles
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and blameless postmortems for problem management
- Document and share knowledge using platforms like SharePoint and Confluence
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Deliver 24/7 on-call support for critical systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years supporting complex, business-critical application systems
- Minimum 5+ years in DevOps or a related engineering role
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools
- Knowledge of configuration management (e.g., IIS Web Server, Apache Tomcat)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
