About the role
- The Development Manager is responsible for leading a team of engineers while also contributing directly to code and architecture.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering growth and performance
- Contribute hands-on technical work (approximately 50% people management, 50% coding)
- Partner closely with product management to define and execute the roadmap
- Maintain and improve legacy PHP applications
- Guide architectural decisions for a new application using modern technologies
- Write and review code (primarily .NET and React)
- Implement best practices in CI/CD and cloud-based development
- Ensure high quality, scalable, and maintainable software delivery
Requirements
- 5–10 years in a lead or senior engineering role
- 5–6 years of experience with .NET
- 4–5 years of experience with AWS
- 2–3 years of experience with React
- Strong experience with SQL Server
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop engineering teams
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Nice To Have:
- Experience with PHP
- Mobile development experience (iOS/Android)
- Experience in the payments industry
- Familiarity with React Native
- Prior B2B SaaS experience supporting large customer bases
- Interest or experience in rock climbing or the gym industry
