About the role

- Develop and maintain APIs and backend services that interact with the database.

- Optimize database queries and backend services to ensure high performance and low latency.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, perform query tuning, and implement caching strategies to handle large volumes of transactions.
- Manage data migration tasks and integrate the application with various third-party services and internal systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Work closely with mobile developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and deliver reliable backend solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in database development and backend engineering, with a strong focus on financial or high-security applications.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java (Spring Boot), Python.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their database services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
