About the role
- Act as an industry expert in advanced data analytics and the anti-financial crime domain, providing professional services and evangelising analytics solutions
- Provide pre-sales and technical support to the APAC Business Development team and assist at different stages of the sales cycle to help close deals
- Provide professional services to GBG customers requiring advanced financial crime model creation and deployment
- Execute POC (Proof of Concept) sessions and document POC results
- Create new methods of financial crime detection using machine learning, statistics, network visualization and data exploration
- Collaborate with business development, clients, product, development and other internal teams; spend time with colleagues in various markets as expected
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in statistics, computer science or advanced mathematics
- Experience in a similar consulting or technical role where there was client engagement
- Experience working within a software development lifecycle in addition to strong technical skills in analytical languages such as Python, SQL
- Experienced with the build of machine learning models
- Experience in compliance and fraud risk management an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve set objectives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
- A strong professional, patient and flexible attitude
- Encourage a culture of innovation focused on adding value
- Proven ability to prioritize and to work independently, managing one’s own workload
- Fluency in English and any additional languages would be an advantage
- Has experience in the anti-financial crime, compliance or fraud risk management domain; open to travel
