About the role
- Data Manager enhancing data quality and traceability in clinical research at Excelya. Collaborating with data teams to drive data management improvements in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and document current data flows across R&D and Translational Medicine departments
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions in existing data management processes
- Design and implement tools and processes to enhance data quality and traceability
- Perform data analyses to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards
- Collaborate with data managers, IT, reference data teams, and business stakeholders to align efforts
- Support the development of user documentation and quality control protocols
- Develop and maintain SQL and Python scripts for data validation and quality monitoring
- Work closely with the Data Quality Lead to ensure alignment of all data quality initiatives
- Contribute to weekly progress updates and monthly activity reports
- Participate in the preparation of test and validation documents related to data workflows
Requirements
- Recent graduate or up to 3 years of experience in data management or data quality. Previous exposure to life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments is a plus. Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a regulated setting.
- Proficiency with Excel and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of SQL (intermediate level).
- Basic understanding of Python for data scripting.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to document workflows clearly.
- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
