About the role

  • Manage and optimise the SPC governance framework and forums to support effective strategic decision-making and oversight of secretariat functions
  • Lead core operational processes for SPC including people operations, business continuity planning and records management
  • Support SPC business planning by collaborating with central teams, projects and SPC Directors to deliver the annual cycle and produce Director Delegation letters
  • Build strong working relationships with the Change Directorate and Director EAs to embed divisional projects and promote CCF’s service offering through key communication channels
  • Act as a conduit between SPC and central teams by managing stakeholder relationships across Operations, Change, Technology and other partners
  • Lead and develop a team of associates while contributing to CCF management team priorities and supporting directorate-wide initiatives alongside the Director and Head of Department
  • Drive operational excellence, set the rhythm for delivery and support the FCA’s goal of becoming a smarter regulator

Requirements

  • Experience of leading cross-functional teams and managing operational workflows
  • Experience of communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including drafting reports, presenting updates and facilitating meetings across departments to support strategic objectives
  • Experience of building and sustaining senior-level relationships, contributing to successful partnerships
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of governance frameworks and secretariat functions to support strategic decision-making
  • Skilled in managing a broad range of operational processes across diverse business areas
  • Proven ability to lead and support a busy, multi-functional team in delivering high quality outcomes
  • Capable of aligning operational strategies with organisational goals through effective planning and adaptability
  • Applies sound judgement and makes timely decisions in high-pressure environments
  • Proficient in identifying and mitigating risks within operational processes to ensure continuity and compliance
  • Contribute to change management initiatives by supporting project delivery and embedding new ways of working across teams
